Utah State Capitol Photo -- Sunset
A shot taken at a recent wedding. I wish I could extol my own virtues on this one but sometimes you just get lucky. I was headed to the reception at the perfect time and took an extra couple of minutes to stop. I'm glad I did.

By the way, the reception WAS in the Capitol so at least it applies.

I Have a Dream...house
I photograph a lot of real estate for a company called Circlepix. I mostly shoot Coldwell Banker listings in west SLC and Tooele. I've shot about 4,500 homes over the last 5 years or so. It's fun and it's good to have alternative during the slow times for weddings (or at least it USED to be nice when there WERE slow times with weddings). I do 360 degree virtual tours.
I shot a house on Tuesday that I love. It's everything Lori and I talk about--hardwood floors, exposed brick, a turrent room, a wraparound porch. It even has a tree in the yard with a swing pre-installed! The one and only problem?

It's in Tooele.
I'm fine with the city itself. It's actually a pretty nice place, (except for that jerk in the green truck, you know who you are.) The problem is that I don't think we'd be able to get clients to drive all the way out there to meet us. It would be a pretty tall order. If this house were anywhere in the Salt Lake valley, we'd be moving.
So here it is in all its glory. At least if I can't own it, I'm glad I could shoot it.

Kylee - Bridals
Today's post is one of my favorite shoots I've ever done. I've talked a lot about it in the past so I'll spare the details. Suffice it to say that Kylee was a blast to shoot. She wanted a Hollywood-style starlet feel and hired me because she felt I could pull it off. Judge for yourself, I loved it. I'm posting some of my favorites here but you can see all the highlights on my website at: http://www.jonwoodbury.com
The videographer, Spencer Hale, shot a video as well. You can find that at his blog.

Love is all you need
For Valentine's Day I wanted to post my favorite photos of my favorite person. I don't know where along the way I became a normal guy but as the aforementioned normal-type guy I don't give my wife the credit or attention she so much deserves. Lori, I love you. Happy Valentine's Day.

Colleen & Derek - Engagements
More fun couples! I am so excited about the new batch of brides and grooms booking us for this year. Days are filling up fast and we are going to have to limit the numbers for the busier months. We really get the pick of the litter when it comes to interesting, dynamic, happy couples.
Colleen and Derek's engagement shoot was nothing if not energetic. An unforseen Boy Scout activity that covered Murray Park with hundreds of 12 year-olds allowed us to really get creative and shoot in less conventional directions. I loved it. Check out my favorites below then click the link to Collages.net to see the whole shoot.

My Baby Girl
I have to post these shots of my baby girl, Hannah. She is my favorite model and probably the most difficult to shoot--she's a year old. Click the slideshow below to see the full-sized photos.

Jason & Kylee
So I've been working on this one for a while. Wow, I took a LOT of shots. All in all I have about 3800 photos of Jason and Kylee and every one was a pleasure. They have become dear friends and I am grateful for the privilege of being there for their whole story.
