I know how often I say that I work with awesome people, but I really do!...and I can certainly prove it when it comes to John and Maree. When we first met to talk about the photos they dreamt about, we all thought that we could combine forces and create some great images. We all had some inspiration and some innovative ideas to add to the collective pot, and we were proven right. Their engagement session on the Salt Flats has been a portfolio piece I adore, and Maree's bridal session at the Union Station in Ogden was some of my best work, and both shoots make up some of my favorite memories as a photographer. Add in a fantastic wedding day in Manti with a follow up reception in Riverton, and how could we go wrong? With such wonderful photos and so much time spent together we all grew to like each other and trust each other implicitly.

The final reception for these amazing kids was at a fantastic golf club in St. George, Utah. The course looked out at the red rocks in the background, and as the sun started to set it was too beautiful for me to pass up. I knew that I only had about ten minutes tops to capture the light, but I was able to run inside, pull John and Maree out of their receiving line, and take some of the most amazing photos in my portfolio. I trusted that they knew it was important. They trusted that I was going to give them something awesome in return for those ten minutes away from their guests, and they followed me out onto the green without hesitation. Through our entire relationship, in the choices we made, I think we've been proven right at every turn...but I'll leave it to you to decide.

I'm mentioned in the same blog with Alyssa Milano?

My endeavor to document the world around me with a picture a day using only my phone has caught the attention of a Chicago based PR company specializing in Social Media!  Don't know what Social Media means?  You Tube, My Space, Facebook...all of these sites are focused on networking the world for social and noteworthy purposes, and they present media to the world and a whole new light...Social Media.  So many advertisers and public relations jobs today require an intimate knowledge of Social Media and how to use it, on top of having experience with traditional commercials, magazine ads, and more.

Cision is a Chicago based company bringing PR specialists together with insight and information on how to use media in an ever-changing world of advertising.  Between viral videos, click rates, and more, I'm so flattered to be compared to Alyssa Milano...even if it's to weigh the pros and cons of her fame vs. my as-yet, non-famous work.  Check out the blog for the comparisons!

Up-Inspired Engagement Session

Just too fun not to post!
This couple took a theme that represented their love and went all out. Their engagements echo the elements in the Disney/Pixar movie UP.
I LOVE it and had to share it!
The photographer is WildFlower Photography. Here's their website.

The LDS Bride, Killer Videography, and My Wedding Photography

I am the focus of the world! ...or at least the focus of The LDS Bride Blog...for a day or two...but still pretty cool. Jason and Kylee's wedding has been one of my showcase weddings for a long time and I'm thrilled to see it on the LDS Bride Blog. Spencer Hale of Giant Brothers Films did an unbelievable job, as always. You should also go see Kylee's Bridal video, he won major awards with that baby too, because it kicks butt.

Jon Woodbury Photography on Utah Bride Blog

Utah Bride Blog featured a couple of weddings I did last fall for two amazing sisters, Britnie and Blayr. I love those girls' style and personalities, so different but both classy and unique.

On our recent jaunt back east to shoot a wedding in Maryland (Shout out to Chris and Kristen!) We dropped in on the National Natural History Museum in Washington DC.
Can you really go wrong with a prehistoric elephant butt? I think not.
