I was born a redhead.
I had a wonderful childhood growing up in suburban Salt Lake City and graduated from Woods Cross High with the intention of going into commercial art for a living, attended Snow College on a theater scholarship just to impress a girl, then got called on an LDS church mission to the Czech and Slovak Republics. I fell in love with (among others) two things on my mission--traveling and taking pictures. I purchased a seemingly indestructible, stainless steel, fully manualmatic, 5-lb wonder of a Russian 35 mm camera while in the mountains of Slovakia. After graduating from the University of Utah (Go Utes!) in Business Communication I got a job for a well-known day planner company. After 8 years and all the seminars you could eat I knew there must be something else for me to do. I took a leap, began shooting weddings and found the career equivalent of a soul mate. Nearly 100 weddings later I love it even more. In 2007 our baby girl, Hannah, was born and my life has never been the same. It's been much, much better. But enough about me, let's talk about you...
