Memorial Day: Pulitzer Prize Winning Military Project

Happy Memorial Day! To celebrate those who have always helped keep us safe, I'd like to point your attention to this Denver Post project.
Photographer Craig Walker followed Ian Fisher from his high school graduation through basic training, and finally home from his first two years in Iraq. It is a fascinating personal look into the military and the individuals who comprise it. It won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. 

Go through it once and just enjoy the photos, then go through it again with the captions on. It's truly amazing work.

New York Street Photographer Interviews

I haven't done a lot of street photography but it's a new goal of mine. I have always wanted to do it. I have some vintage cameras that I've been shooting with a little and I'd like to take them out for a spin.

Touching Tibetan Portraits by Phil Borges

I love photography. I just love looking at powerful, interesting images. I have many photography books from all different genres from US magazine celebrity portraits to classic National Geographic to iPhone images.
I thought I'd share a photographer that I recently discovered. His name is Phil Borges. He's been around a long time but I've somehow missed him until now. He does beautiful portraits of people from around the world. The above portrait is from his Tibetan collection. They're just beautiful.
